In the summer of 2017, on a phone call between two long-time best friends, the first steps toward Rugged becoming a brand were taken. In just a few short months, the initial concepts became designs and RuggedShore was born.
NEXT STEPS
​By the summer of the following year, the brand was ready to hit the market with three designs; the wreck, the wave and of course, the lighthouse. ( All of which are set to make an encore appearances right here at RUGGEDNL.CA )

​Seven months later, in the Spring of 2019, Shawn & Matt had secured a deal to retail Ruggedshore Apparel at the Saltbox Cafe. Located in Benoit's Cove on the island's west coast, Saltbox is also home to Everoutdoor Adventures; A company who's soul mission is to explore and showcase the spectacular scenery found on the island's west coast with guests from all over the globe.
FAST FOWARD
​Fall 2022, as the tourism season drew to a close, RUGGEDSHORE APPAREL had concluded another successful year in a brick & mortar retail setting at the Saltbox and the b'ys knew it was time to take RUGGED online!
